Stephen I. Wasserman, MD

Dr. Stephen I. Wasserman serves as secretary-treasurer on the executive committee of American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).
 
Prior to joining ABMS, Dr. Wasserman served as director and chairman of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Internal Medicine.  During his tenure on those boards, he was a leader in the development of ABMS Maintenance of Certification® (MOC).  He also served as Chairman of the Department of Medicine at the University of California San Diego.    

Dr. Wasserman received his MD from the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed his training in internal medicine and allergy and immunology at the Peter B. Brigham Hospital in Boston. Dr. Wasserman is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
