Amy MosserLori Boukas
Director of Marketing and Communications

Lori Boukas joined the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) in June of 2006 as director of Marketing and Communications.  In that position, she is responsible for all internal and external ABMS communications activities, including public relations, media relations and advertising.  Boukas was instrumental in the implementation of the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Communications Zone, a guide and toolkit for the 24 ABMS Member Boards to use in promoting MOC to their diplomates.

Boukas has more than 20 years experience as a seasoned marketing communications practitioner with previous experience in business-to-business, healthcare, technology, financial/banking and indirect consumer industries.  Prior to joining ABMS, Boukas was responsible for developing strategic marketing plans for VeridianHealth, a national healthcare provider of diagnostic and therapeutic services.  She also managed the organization’s training, educational resources and business development functions. 

Boukas received her master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from Roosevelt University and her bachelor’s degree in visual communications from Illinois State University.
